The people behind the school
Led by a pediatric nurse and a lifelong educator.
Mighty Sprouts was founded by Jeralen Mascarinas, RN, BSN, a pediatric nurse and mother of two who brings more than a decade of nursing care to the way the school looks after children. Director Judith Fredericks holds a degree in early childhood education with a Montessori specialization in special education, and has spent more than fifteen years teaching and leading in early-childhood classrooms.
Most of our teachers are parents themselves. Several have been with us since we first opened our doors, and families often stay with us from the infant room all the way through kindergarten.

Good to know before you visit.
What ages do you accept?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 5 years old across three classrooms: infants, toddlers, and preschool through kindergarten.
What are your hours, and are you open year-round?
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, all year round. Before and after care is included.
Are meals included?
Yes. Children receive a fresh, organic lunch and two snacks each day, so mornings at home are one thing simpler.
How will I know how my child’s day is going?
Through our parent app you will receive photos and videos during the day along with naps, meals and learning updates. You can also message your child’s teacher directly or reach the classroom by phone extension.
Is Montessori right for a baby or a toddler?
Montessori begins with respect for the child at every age. In our infant and toddler rooms that looks like calm, uncluttered spaces, the freedom to move and explore safely, and teachers who observe each child closely and follow their development.
How does enrollment work?
Start with the inquiry form above. We will invite you for a tour, and if we are a good fit for your family you will receive an invitation to register. A registration fee secures your child’s place, or adds them to our waitlist if there are no immediate openings.
